Optimuu launches its crowdfunding campaign

Optimuu (Spain, University of Santiago de Compostela), one of the 20 ideas selected to receive support from Santander X Explorer, has launched its crowdfunding campaign. They aim to get funding and collaborators to help them progress with the project; they are looking for experts in the cattle sector, full stack development, data analysis, and communication.
This idea, aligned with the 2030 SDGs, promotes animal health and welfare (SDG 3) by detecting problems at an early stage through the analysis of data collected by robots, and sensors installed on farms. It also optimises production and reduces waste (SDG 12) through efficient resource management, helping to combat climate change (SDG 13) and supporting the conservation of terrestrial ecosystems (SDG 15). All by promoting sustainable cattle farming practices that minimise environmental impact.
With this crowdfunding campaign, Optimuu is looking for experts in full-stack development and data analysis to help with the progress of the interface. In addition, it aims to form a community of experts from the cattle sector to collaborate in the co-creation of the interface; in a few months, the prototype will be tested on real farms. The resources raised will be crucial to achieve these goals and make significant progress in the development of Optimuu.
“Our goal is to create a tool that makes farmers’ lives easier, improves animal health and contributes to a more sustainable production. Optimuu interprets the data so that farmers don’t have to, ensuring personalised care for each animal while giving farmers more time. With the support of the community and the right resources, we are confident that Optimuu can bring a lot to this sector”, explains Aina Mena, CEO of Optimuu.
